Through our proprietary and innovative Spoke & Hub TechnologiesTM, we are producing a sustainable secondary source of battery-grade materials while providing an environmentally benign alternative to current mining processes and high temperature recycling. In order to tackle the world's climate issues, we work to establish a supply chain for lithium-ion batteries that is genuinely closed-loop. Our high recovery rates allow us to offer a more ethical and clean way to make battery materials.

The study proposes three key action areas to enhance global sustainability in battery recycling
Industry principles for sustainable battery recycling
The study introduces ten industry principles along the battery recycling value chain, to be endorsed and implemented by companies operating in the business. This includes prioritising worker health and safety; applying design and choice of battery recycling processes to minimise environmental impacts and maximise resource recovery and quality; rigorous supplier management; and optimising recycling operations for sustainability.
Global guidance for policy makers
Recognising the varying legislative landscapes globally, the study provides universal recommendations for policymakers to enable sustainable battery recycling. While the EU and China have established legislative regiments and public action, the study encourages other countries to follow suit, enabling investments, innovation, information access, and setting recycling targets.
Pre-competitive multi-stakeholder programme
To fill in the remaining knowledge gaps, the study recommends a pre-competitive process that brings together the industry, academia, and civil society stakeholders. It also calls for clear standards, regulations, research and development (R&D), and guidelines to ensure industry alignment.
